Editor's Picks: The Louis Vuitton AEROGRAM Collection

Louis Vuitton revisits iconic leather styles such as Messenger and Keepall bags, as well as other urban essentials, distilling their essence and taking them to a new level of sophistication and elegance.

As an embodiment of Louis Vuitton’s signature Art of Travel, the tradition of the Aerogram is intertwined with the history of aviation itself. The new leather colorful line echoes the emblems of this tradition while conveying a vision of travel that is as contemporary as ever.

FACES by Seigar

Seigar is a passionate travel, street, social-documentary, conceptual, and pop visual artist based in Tenerife, Spain. His latest project ‘FACES’ explores the different faces we see in people depending on the situations the live.

The artist notes:

This conceptual portrait series was inspired by the lyrics of the song Mercury by Steve Lacy: "You think I'm two-faced, I can name twenty-three / My layers, all these sides". This work represents a metaphor for personality traits conveyed through my longest and still ongoing project My Plastic People. It shows the complexities of human beings.

I think personalities should be valued, and encouraged to blossom. We should embrace our personalities so differences can enrich us all. It is the perfect time in history to let our inner selves and souls speak loud and act freely, not repress ourselves! It is a matter of empowerment.

The content is also connected to my interest in identity, everything that defines us. The aesthetics I've chosen are once more pop, this movement is my main influence to create. Faces deals with the idea that the intricacies of our personalities should not be considered negative, in fact, being genuine is the engine we need today out there, far from the crowd thinking. I see personalities as the possible gates to individual freedoms. Just be real!

Edward Crutchley SS23 at London Fashion Week

We have seen him working with Kim Jones for many years, at Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and now Fendi couture. Edward Crutchley is probably one of the luxury fashion industry’s leading experts in fabric sourcing and development.

For his Spring Summer 2023 collection, he took inspiration from the greek mythology and the ancient Greek sea-god Proteus. “Even though it’s about ancient Greek mythology, there are no references. We’re not seeing a toga coming down the runway,” he stated.

The signs are strong though, and his promotional images were given the right message. The Greek Marbles and Sculptures will return to Greece!

Edward has also collaborated with ROKER shoes for that show and WE LOVE the extra edginess they add to his looks.

UNDERCOVER x EASTPAK

Eastpak presents its collaboration with Undercover, the Japanese firm founded in 1990 by Jun Takahasi. With a very personal style and influences from British grunge, American punk and the passage of time, Takahasi has managed to carve out a significant niche for himself in the industry.

A clear example is his new collaboration with Eastpak, which is now available on the Eastpak website and in selected stores, made up of 3 models that combine utility with haute couture. They are made of recycled materials and all follow the motto “Chaos / Balance” in a fashion exercise that blurs and offsets the limits of streetwear and the highest design.

Clandestine Boots by K.NGSLEY

K.NGSLEY unveils its new Clandestine Boots through a kinky campaign.

Ever wonder what you’d see if you turned the light on in the darkroom? Well, there’s no need at Clandestine Club, unabashed and liberated in total freedom to show up truly as yourself – kink and all. K.NGSLEY being rooted in activism and the club scene, this campaign ignites that Queer Black and Brown joy simply by existing, and letting our girls know it’s okay to live in your own space. (Lick that boot, Sis! Make out with the hottie giving you the eyes).

Bottega Veneta by Matthieu Blazy: The Menswear Looks from his first Show

Matthieu Blazy’s day has come.

The 35-year-old Belgian interned at Balenciaga and worked at Raf Simons, Maison Margiela Artisanal, Celine, and Calvin Klein before landing as ready-to-wear design director at Bottega Veneta in 2020. That’s quite a pedigree, but he’s always been a behind-the-scenes guy. Then last November, following Daniel Lee’s abrupt exit, he was named creative director.

Sixty nine looks in total, strong representation of both genders on the runway and a strong Bottega Veneta DNA on the looks, but with his own twist.

For men’s looks it was all about leather and tailoring, tailoring and leather. Bold, straight cut (including some flares), modern and minimal lines… and a lot of navy! It was definitely a debut to remember.
