Virgil Abloh has shown to the fashion world his latest vision for the LOUIS VUITTON menswear collection for winter 2021 during the virtual Paris Fashion Week.

Sporting a grunge version in the 70s by Lou Reed and Ziggy Stardust , then in the 90s by Kurt Cobain and Johnny Depp , the nail polish worn by men is more visible than ever.

What Virgil Abloh decided to serve up were his thoughts on male dress codes..
. “Something you haven’t seen from me before: the suit,” he said. “But with menswear, it can be like an automated track, so there are different breakdowns as the show progresses.”

Hoodie no more for OFF WHITE as Virgil Abloh has decided to go with the flow and return with one more contemporary collection full of tailoring elements and leather pieces.
The new tailoring trends becomes bigger every season and designers are promoting it more than ever by giving their own idea of tailoring on their collections.

Virgil Abloh has just unveiled the theme for his Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2018-19 show, which will be presented in Paris in January 2019: Michael Jackson.
The American designer has already demonstrated his admiration for pop culture icons through his own-label as seen at the Off-White Spring/Summer 2018 show which presented colorful pieces inspired by the late Diana, Princess of Wales. The graphic themes, a nod to American graffiti artist, Dondi White, seen in Abloh’s Off-White collection the following year also spring to mind.
January 2019 will see the theme continued as Abloh is to present his second menswear collection for Louis Vuitton in Paris which will pay homage to the King of pop, Michael Jackson. In an interview with Interview magazine, Abloh revealed that “when I have Michael singing in the background, it’s a different type of shirt, it’s a different kind of boot, it’s a different fit of pants. Music is key.” The American designer also revealed other news in announcing that he’d like to design a spaceship someday. Mr. Abloh, you never fail to surprise us…

After months of waiting, the designer finally presented his SS19 collection as the artistic director of the Parisian house.
Numerous celebrities have attended the show waiting to see the new Vuitton aesthetic and collection.
After a small preview on instagram, today we had the opportunity see all the new collection and direction of the brand. As well as understated, futuristic white sneakers with day-glo laces, and utility-style harnesses with pockets throughout were some of the most bold elements and with the reimagination of the classic LV monogram to be on hero pieces of SS19.
Monochrome looks in total white, total red and more were some of the first strong combinations with mixed and match pieces to continue. Tailored suits with wide-trousers and double-breasted jackets, sportswear-influenced silhouettes, and utilitarian shirts were only some of the new proposals of the new artistic director and the new LV era.
