BRAND ALERT: Prisma presents “Of Void and Chrome” Campaign

PRISMA presents the “Of Void & Chrome” underwear campaign of EREVOS collection. Consisted of three capsule underwear collections, the EREVOS, Iconic Grey and Blink, all follow the grayscale colour palette with minimal design and the brand’s distinctive geometric prints.

In the heat of a summer night, he lies in his bed, dripping in sweat, turning restlessly beneath his silver sheets. Sleep is elusive, slipping away as he wakes suddenly, gasping softly. He reaches for a glass of water, the coolness briefly soothing, but as he lowers it, his fingertips catch the light—shimmering with a strange, silver sheen. He watches, almost detached, as the silver spreads up his entire body turning his skin smooth chrome. Reality is now blurred. Is it a lucid dream? Everything feels distorted! The room is now an endless void of white and silver. He is slowly becoming one with them. He leaves the glass back on the table. He is calm and gets back in bed. Something feels different than before. He now knows, he’s made of void and chrome!

Exploring Rebellion and Heritage: JORDANLUCA's Impactful Runway at Milan Fashion Week

Amidst the stellar shows of Milan Mens Fashion Week, a singular brand dared to stand out. JordanLuca, the rising cult label, known for its bold, unconventional style brought London punk streetwear to Milan. Christina Dymioti captured the electric energy from the front row.

by Christina Dymioti

Founded in 2019, JordanLuca is a couture streetwear label which seamlessly blends the English and Italian heritage of its founders Jordan Bowen and Luca Marchetto. It is noteworthy that Mr. Pan Phillipou, the co-founder and Chairman of the brand, previously served as the CEO of Diesel and Ben Sherman. He has a background of Cypriot and Irish descent.

Heritage tweeds were reborn with punkish spikes as JORDANLUCA's Fall/Winter 2024 collection expertly wove rebellious details into timeless tailoring. Walking into the JordanLuca runway, silver balloons, like bloated dreams, hung from every seat, and the runway was a buoyant ocean of 1,500 more. These unique balloons were designed by artist Dominic Myatt.

The clothes themselves were Punk-inspired in subversive classics. The show kicked off with tailored overcoats worn with face-hugging headwear and straight-fitting trousers, which lapped leather angular boots. Later, the same headwear was contrasted with grey suiting, where a fastened jacket covered a shirt and the renowned JordanLuca tie.

Dark eyeliner offered contrast, injecting a club-ready sensibility into an otherwise pared-back look. In fact, there was a surprise runway appearance by Andreas Kronthaler, the Creative Director of Vivienne Westwood who is also a close friend of Marchetto. Andreas graced the runway in a head-to-toe black look, a stark contrast to the buoyant balloons.

We saw leather used to craft structured jackets, with mohawk hair styling, and chunky silver jewellery, injecting a counter-cultural edge into the look. As the show continued the party theme was seen in white blouses and dresses, finished with multicoloured polka dots. The women's pieces were particularly striking, riffing on ladylike codes with fierce and sensual numbers like the standout red leather minidress and the bias-cut frock that wrapped endlessly around the body.

In essence, JordanLuca's Milan Fashion Week show transcended the ordinary, creating a dynamic narrative where balloons, Brutalist blazers, and a bittersweet hope converged. This singular brand, daring to be different, not only showcased rebellious details but also became a testament to the electric energy, leaving an indelible mark on the canvas of Milan Mens Fashion Week.

However, the party didn’t end there; it escalated into an epic rave. Collaborating with Berlin techno powerhouses 𝕳𝖊𝖗𝖗𝖊𝖓𝖘𝖆𝖚𝖓𝖆, they organized a massive party within a series of abandoned warehouse arches on the city's outskirts.

MR PORTER collaborates with TOM FORD for exclusive capsule collection

“Menswear is a detail-driven business,” says Mr Tom Ford, who brings his eye for precision to a highly acclaimed offering of immaculately tailored suits, plush cashmere and refined accessories. The American luxury brand’s latest collection, inspired by the mod subculture of the 1960s, is now exclusively available at MR PORTER.

‘‘The inspiration for this collection draws from the mod and punk era that once took London by storm in the 1960s. You can expect a focus on sharp tailoring and outerwear in a monochromatic color palette, using classic English fabrics like flannel, puppytooth, and herringbone.’’ F.Y

WE LOVE: Brooklyn Beckham's Style Moments

It seems that Brooklyn Beckham inherited Victorias's sense of style as he always creates statement looks and combinations.

We don’t know if the looks are his personal choices or he works along with a personal stylist, but we have to admit that he have already created his own fashion moments in his public appearances.

Check out some of our favourite looks of him that last 2 years and be inspired for your next style combination and outfits:

Our Strange Obsession with Joe Exotic and how to get the TIGER KING Look (Copy)

If you haven’t seen Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness, you definitely have to add it in your quarantine Netflix agenda; and believe me you will finish it by this weekend. ( 7 episodes documentary - limited series)

The true-crime docuseries plays a serious logic game with you as it unveils all the crazy adventures of Joe Exotic and his antagonists ( Including mysterious murders, drugs, illegal animal sales and more). Watching it you might have a small cultural shock (at the beggining at least) but while watching the episodes it becomes addictive and you finally become strangely obsessed with the characters and their personal style.

Our favourite style persona is definetely The Tiger King - Joe Exotic. Mr Joe delivers a very unique kitch style which becames ‘‘cult’’ and trendy in its own way.

Vogue’s editors note: ….Filled with animal prints (natch), sequins, and tie-dye, his look is cowboy drag filtered through a lens of bad taste and shrooms. The result is horrible, hypnotic, and shockingly on-trend!

Well, I have to warn you though… living our most difficult period at home and watching ‘Docuseries’ TIGER KING can be a dangerous combination… Don’t be surprised if we come out of this lockdown with mullets, DIY piercings, and home tattoos.

If you finally fall in love with his crazy and ‘in-style’ look check out your wardrobes and I am sure you will find some statement pieces to create your summer look.

Prada SS19: Are the super short shorts the next summer trend?

Watching Prada Men Spring Summer 2019 show we have noted a lot of looks that we dream about for ourselves.

We’re talking super short shorts, retro tone-on-tone belts, big puffy hats and a really nice set of bags… but what about those ‘super mini’ shorts?

Inspired by 70s and designed with patterns and colours from the 90s, the new trend proposal from Prada seems to be quite sexy and unusual at the the same time for the men’s world.

Muccia Prada used the words “more elegant” when describing how she wanted her men to look and she definitely achieved it.

I am already in love with those burgundy silky short shorts! What do you think about the new trend?

WE LOVE: Harry Styles in the new men's Gucci Tailoring campaign

On set at a fish and chip shop in northern London, Harry Styles appears in the new GUCCI men’s Tailoring campaign.

Wearing the House’s suiting designed by Alessandro Michele for Fall Winter 2018, Harry Styles walks in a ‘chippy’—the traditional British fish and chip shop—with a chicken and a dog. In a wool mohair jacket with embroidered collar and a striped suit styled with a gingham dressing gown, Harry shares his battered cod and fried chips with his pets, in a sequence shot by Glen Luchford and art directed by Christopher Simmonds.

5+1 menswear trends for Fall/Winter 2018-2019

From bucket hats to hiking boots, and from extra large shoulders to superlative layering, these are the Autumn Winter trends to know about.

Sportswear is well-anchored in this new fashion vocabulary, but this season it made way for a few fashion foibles and chic accents ( thank God, tailoring is coming back!).

LOGOMANIA

Street style is not as strong as last year but the 'logomania' trend is here again and this time is more bolder than ever.  After all the new and upcoming brands 'stealing' the top positions of the fashion industry last year, now the big Fashion Houses are assuming the style heritage that they rejected for so long. Go loud with all-over print, or go home.

WESTERN

A symbol of hopes and dreams, the wide plains of the American West are a seemingly inexhaustible source of inspiration for designers across the fashion capitals. From Raf Simons to Calvin Klein and Dries Van Noten the winter collections are proposing the style of the 'modern cowboy'. All you need is camel or earth colours, jeans, cowboy boots and your shearling jacket and you are ready!

XXL SHOULDERS

80s have been in our memories as the years with the most fashion statement looks. Extravaganza womenswear and more bold and androgynous menswear than ever. That was the decade when Mr Armani took over menswear and shoulders got wider... and wider. Today’s times recall a little of the same ambiant zeitgeist that pushed designers to create jackets and coats with shoulders that were ever wider.

"Fashion armour for an uncertain world."

EXTREME LAYERING

Demna Gvasalia did it again... Balenciaga and Vetements ''were doing the most!'' with superlative layering and really similar looks on the runway, supporting Demna's unique street style aesthetic. A kick in the teeth for global warming and tension around the world, or simple seasonal styling? You decide.

CLUB TROPICANA

From Prada’s archive flame print revival, to rebel skulls at SSS World Cop and Wales Bonner’s sensitive motifs, the print shirt will run and run through next winter. Refreshing and definitely something new for a winter season.

 MidNight GLAM

Sequins and metallic are back again but this season all the midnight glam becomes 'a man thing'!  Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, SSS World Cop and Balmain have already shown the way - you only have to find your favourite now...

We have to admit that this winter is full of new entries when it comes to trends. Some others that we love at REY and you will definitely see in our next editorial stories are the Fetishism of Moschino,  the new Tiger print addiction and the Space Fantasy  ( see Heron Preston or Undercover).

Discover the collection on Modus Vivendi online and choose your favourite. Available in white, black, khaki, red and blue, this classy swimwear will be part of your basic summer kit.

Richard Biedul x King & Tuckfield AW18 collaboration collection

King & Tuckfield is a new menswear contemporary brand, founded by Stacey Wood just 3 years ago. Its signature aesthetic fuses a distinctly British 1950’s feel, with sharp contemporary styling inspired by the colourful stories of Stacey's family history.

The design team is passionate  with quality and sustainable materials, and their inspiration comes from the British fashion heritage and culture.  They always love to mix everything that looks vintage with something that looks modern creating the new classic.

Model, Art and Style director, Richard Biedul  joined that team to create his first 5 pieces-capsule collection and with these AW18 pieces makes his debut in the design world.

The collection consists of pieces which everyone needs all the time and every piece seems to be ideal for your wardrobe. Richard mentioned "We've created almost an off-duty uniform… it is about comfort, it's about function and formality"

And it's actually true. Everything can go from casual to formal depends on the way you style them on you. Modern, elegant pieces that will always be in fashion.

During this collaboration Richard has discovered a new found love for quality denim and has merged this new passion on his designs too. Focusing also on 100% fine merino wool in a bold spectrum of Navy, Fiesta Red and Clover Green, the collection is inspired with vintage references and a 1950's notion.

. Richard Biedul x King & Tuckfield AW18 capsule collection translates back to the main SS19 collection which we had the opportunity to see during London Fashion Week and we have to admit that we fell in love with...

The AW18 collection is now available on kingandtuckfield.com
