October's favourite: Tom Ford Ombré Leather Fragance Campaign

A Texan at heart, Tom Ford returns to his roots with his latest campaign. The designer unveils his latest campaign for the new fragrance Tom Ford Ombré Leather.

Bull rider Bonner Bolton and model Linda Helena embrace a contemporary western style in the campaign clip. The pair appears before the lens of photographer Steven Klein.

Setting the mood for the scent, the campaign is accompanied by the following: “Freedom comes from within, the desert heart of the west wrapped in leather. It moves forward, untethered, through the still air of wide-open space. Discover the new fragrance for men and women from Tom Ford.”

Royal Wedding: Prince Harry chose the uniform and beard!

On Saturday 19/5, the world celebrated the Royal wedding and the social media were bombarded about the wedding during the weekend.

The groom's appearance was one of our favourites in terms of styling (and grooming!)

  Prince Harry arrived at Windsor Castle accompanied by his brother Prince William, in his military captain’s uniform from the Blues and Royals and not the traditional groom suit. 

The uniform was one of the most ancient regiments of the British Military and it was decorated with the Victoria Cross and his various medals, and somewhat contrasted with (well-groomed) three-day stubble.

We also loved the fact that he chose to keep his beard instead of following the tradition or the protocol.

Off-White collaborates with Byredo to create your new favourite perfume

Elevator Music is the new fragrance collaboration from Off White x Byredo, first revealed on colette founder Sarah Andelman’s Instagram.

If the stripes on the bottle of the latest Byredo perfume look familiar, it won’t surprise you to learn that Byredo’s Ben Gorham collaborated with Off-White designer Virgil Abloh to create the Elevator Music capsule collection, including a fragrance, a hair mist and a hand cream with burnt amyris notes lifted by ambrette, bamboo and jasmine. Strong, graceful and perfect paired with Off-White denim or a t-shirt.

The scent: burnt amyris notes make up the strong base, with the trio of ambrette, bamboo and jasmine replicating the freshness of cotton.

UNISEX fragrances are the way forward

Usually the first thing we all splurged on us in the morning, after shower or in a store, is our favorite fragrance. Of course there are a ton of fragrances out there that are popular for both men and women. However, we’ve compiled a list of unique, unisex and most importantly one of a kind smells for you to try next time you’re on a hunt for a fragrance.


Maison Margiela –Replica Fragrances

The Replica fragrances come in Eau de Toilette and Eau de Parfum. There is also the filter fragrances a sort of layering scent and the untitled fragrance.  The basis for all the Replica fragrances is that they replicate a memory essentially, like their scent Flower Market or Beach Walk. I find that most of these smells do evoke a familiar scent however only a few of them truly stand out. Personally my favorite is the Eau de Toilette –by the Fireplace, described as burning wood and chestnut.

This scent has a beautiful depth of woody smell with a slightly sweet top note. Definitely a winter/autumn scent. Another favorite from the replica range is Jazz Club described as heady cocktails and cigars, this is a more citrusy smell than -by the Fireplace but it lacks that sweet note. 


Escentric molecules-Molecule fragrances

Originally this line had launched with Molecule 01 the most popular and my favorite of the bunch. The fragrances are based around a single ingredient, which reacts with your natural pheromones giving out a unique “tailored” made scent. Even if I tried I cannot accurately describe this scent, however is a beautiful unisex scent and a decent price point.


Jo Malone- Cologne & Intense

Jo Malone has over 20 scents of beautiful fragrances with botanical, citrus and other accents. I cannot really recommend just one since I think they are peculiar scents and each is special in its own way. Wood sage and sea salt is an easy going woody scent whereas Oud & Bergamont is deep, citrusy and more pronounced. When it comes to Jo Malone, definitely visit a counter and pick a scent that is personal to you.
