After an incredible collaboration with Estée Lauder, the absolute fashion icon did it again and this time she is going… athleisure! Victoria Beckham shared the news on Instagram and everyone is talking about her new  collaboration with sportswear giant Reebok.

"I am incredibly excited to embark on this partnership built on shared values. I have always championed instilling confidence in women and Reebok is a brand that has been at the forefront of this same message for decades.” Beckham shared in a statement

We have seen Reebok on collaborations with other designers Vetements and Cottweiler but the Victoria Beckham collaboration was something really unexpected.
We can’t wait to see the first design proposals from Victoria and enjoy the new products next year, as the collection will launch late 2018.

Dan Colen: Sweet Liberty exhibition in London

04 OCT 2017 – 21 JAN 2018

Photography: Karl Slater

Newport Street Gallery, London presents an exhibition of work by American artist Dan Colen (b.1979). Colen’s first major London solo show spans over fifteen years and features new works, including large-scale installations.

IMG_4596.JPG

Colen emerged onto the New York art scene in the early 2000s alongside artists such as Dash Snow and Ryan McGinley. Brilliantly witty, shocking, poignant and nihilistic, his art presents a portrait of contemporary America and is, in part, an investigation into the act of producing and looking at art.

IMG_4593.JPG

Alongside significant early works such as Me, Jesus and the Children (2001–2003) – a photorealist painting of the artist’s chest, overlaid with cartoon cherubs and floating speech bubbles – the exhibition features paintings from Colen’s long-running ‘Gum’ and ‘Trash’ series. In the ‘Gum’ paintings, spots of brightly coloured chewing gum – usually only seen in the mouths of others or stuck to the soles of shoes – are layered onto the canvas as paint.
The ‘Trash’ works incorporate rubbish and discarded ephemera, the kind you would often encounter piled up in the street. Referencing Arte Povera, Abstract Expressionism and action painting, the trash is mixed with paint and used as an unwieldy brush to form shapes based on Raphael’s exalted Madonna and Child paintings. With their irreverent borrowing from art history and disruptive combination of abstraction and figuration, they are paintings about painting, paintings about belief.

The exhibition features four installations, in which Colen continues to appropriate and subvert imagery from the globalised mass media and American subcultures. In these installations, Colen’s examinations of masculinity and individuality are brought to the fore. The bloated, spent machismo of the American Dream is laid bare to reveal a deep-seated existential unease.

On the occasion of the exhibition, Colen states: “This show is the first time I’ve been able to present the full range of my work and the wide-ranging ideas, crafts, materials, technologies and processes that I engage with. The earliest piece in the exhibition was begun eleven days before 9/11 and the exhibition follows my intuitive trajectory over the last fifteen years, which has allowed me to consider the transforming power of art when it’s experienced in different moments and contexts. It also creates a perfect space for the viewer to settle in on my interests, which are sure but can be meaningless, often formless, striving for the inexplicable; which can be most felt in the negative spaces, the cracks, the holes and barely perceptible lines that are always there connecting all seemingly disparate things.”

Fall Winter 2017 Most popular womenswear trends

As the season is changing and we are transitioning into Autumn/Winter a lot of new trends emerge. This is a rundown of what I’m personally loving and what we’ll be seeing a lot of in these coming months.

Total red looks (head to toe red)
From the legendary Karl Lagerfeld Fendi runway show to the MaxMara high fashion collection the head to toe red is s must. The Givenchy collection was predominantly entirely in this colour pallet making it super bold, feminine, sexy, and intriguing. Go for it you will not regret it!

MaxMara

FENDI

Glitter, metallics
Metallics were seen in so many shows adding a fresh contemporary twist to classic quilted jackets to the spaced themed Chanel runway.
Isabel Marant and Dolce Gabbana were filled with sequences and sparkles whereas in JW Anderson the metallic in dresses and tops were given a chainmail take, reminiscent of the Paco Rabanne 60’s famous signature.
Glittery boots can be considered a must have of the season and have already spotted in so many runways. The glittery effect of the Chanel boots and the Swarovski shine sparkles of the Yves Saint Laurent will make the stare and the price worth the while.

Plaid
Plaid, check and houndstooth are very popular this season and although no pattern is the same with one another I’m grouping them together since they are originally based within the same contrasting colour tones.
This season we can also see them translated into brighter colours and designers have incorporated a variety of fabrics, from the classic grey plaid suits seen on the Calvin Klein runway to classic coats for the Prada runway collection.
Plaid was also used in Michael Kors dresses, Louis Vuitton jackets and check jumpsuit in Chanel.
Different patterns of plaid and different colours were included in the shows.

CHANEL

CHANEL

Velvet
Velvet will still be strong this season from velvet suits to bags and shoes it is a show stopper textile in different richer brighter colours, ochre yellow, emerald green, navy, burgundy and pink.
Velvet is synonymous with luxury and has been incorporated in many runways including Valentino,
Opening Ceremony, Philip Lim and Luisa Beccaria.

Belt bags
A new entry in accessories are belt bags and another ode to the 90’s I might add.
Slowly being introduced last season and now a statement staple with some of my favourites being the Gucci velvet ones, the studded and to the more edgy, trunk Prada ones.
I’m already deciding which one will be mine.

Suits
Suits are a favourite go to investment piece and if you have not already given it a try now is the time, since suits have come a long way from the work wear appropriate attire.
From plaid to minimal monochrome suits, and lined straight cut designs to blazers that cinch in the waist for a more feminine look.
Combined with crispy white shirts and decorated bows will make a suit stand out and translate it for more formal outings or paired with a slogan t-shirt and some jewellery for every day.

Jeans on jeans
It seems that last year we didn’t get enough of the trend and this year is back on track. The double denim ootd is having a moment but this time the colours of the denim are the same giving it a true all American blue vibe..

Puffy Padded jackets
Oversized puffy jackets are here to make a statement for the Balenciaga bright red jacket to the Tory Burch quilted dresses seem like there are here to stay.
The collections have re-designed and transcended the puffer jackets for 2017 by adding more volume, and more details as well as also using in some cases a more matte fabric instead of the glossy materials we were used to before.
Invest in bright colours for maximum impact.

Vinyl- matrix
Vinyl started making a comeback.
From vinyl trousers, in reds and black, to vinyl coats and skirts.
Glossy vinyl or either patent vinyl combined with brighter or deeper colours can give that effortless cool vibe.  The futuristic look that vinyl has to offers gives a sling sexy appearance and you can opt for a full on matrix-looking coat or outfit or if you want to dip your toes in this trend go for trousers or a vinyl looking jacket.

How to keep your skin and face fresh every day by CLARINS products

There is more for being ‘’good-looking’’ than just applying a few products on your face and skin. The key is to search and getting to know better these overlooked male products, which offer benefits, without having to spend more than a few minutes in front of the mirror. Here are few of my favourite additions to my everyday grooming routine, which I believe they can considerably develop the way you look and help you adopt them in your daily routine.

DIOR HOMME SS 2018: The iconic tailored suit

Kris Van Assche amazed the fashion world with the SS18 show for DIOR HOMME and we note what you must remember for the next season. The Belgian designer and creative director of the brand, celebrated 10 years in DIOR HOMME and he paid tribute to the iconic tailored suit.

“Tailoring will never be over, but I’ve been here for 10 years and it made me think about the DNA of the brand, the black suit and the white shirt” noted the creative director.

He combined really classic suit lines with trainers, wide-legged trousers or shorts and he marked to the new generation the DNA of Dior. Kris Van Assche also styled the collection with varsity inspired bomber jackets and colourful tops and shirts, showing once again that the sport-luxe trend is still on the top of the fashion world list.

Must Have Fragrance this winter: NOIR Anthracite

World-renowned designer Tom Ford has created a true luxury brand for the 21st Century.
He is also well known for turning out fragrances that are as sleek as his tailoring.
The house of Tom Ford has the ability to create very special, original scents that are depraved by the traditions of mainstream fragrances.
Tom ford introduces the new Noir fragrance, Noir Anthracite.
The latest icon of seduction, Tom Ford Noir Anthracite reflects the light in the dark.
It's deeply, softly dark, without so much of the apparently intentional style of many of the brand’s other releases.

tom_ford_noir_anthracite_ftape-01.jpg

The brand-new Tom Ford Anthracite has notes of ground citrus blended with a masculine oak moss base.
A mixture of bergamot sandalwood and ginger make for a statement scent. I believe it makes the perfect scent for fall.

Fall/Winter 2017-18 TRENDS: OUR PICKS

1.Padded jackets :

padded jackets

Comfortable dressing was a huge influence for designers this season. Oversized and cosy - padded jackets combined with wide-leg trousers created the ideal winter outfit. A padded jacket is definitely the finest choice to invest for the winter as it keeps you warm but look uber-cool at the same time.

2. Snow Ready

snow ready

As seen in Moncler, Gamme Bleu, Lanvin, Balenciaga, Facetasm and Cottweiler the ‘mountain’ outfiy is a big trend for winter 2017-18.  Designers presented technical wardrobes of snow-ready style, trying to convince us that ain’t no mountain is high enough.

3. The office

the office

Business outfit is back, with a slightly sinister edge. Think about Wall Street circa 1985 and all the early 90s tv shows but add extra-large shirts and patterned satin neckties (worn a little longer than the usual) and red color as the new black. Workwear maybe, but for 2017 it’s normcore and the anti-skinny pants version of the business outfit.

4.Red

the red

This season feel free to be festive like its Christmas every day. Red is the new black as we mentioned above! Head-to-toe at Dior, red on knitwear at Dries van Noten and normcore red outfits at Balenciaga. The ‘naughty’ color choice has provided a burst of color that electrified the menswear

5. The Supreme x Louis Vuitton bag

the bag

The fashion world was shocked when it came out that the 90s skate label from New York with the cult following will collaborate with the most iconic French house! Everyone was super excited to see the result. Two different words became one on the runway and the Supreme x Louis Vuitton red logo bag, was sold out at the same time; sending the bag to the top of collectors wish lists for the next ten years.

Erdem x H&M

Erdem x H&M

Every year we excitedly anticipate when the next collaboration of H&M will finally be announced. This year is going to be extra special, as the news of Erdem collaborating with the high street brand blew up on social media, following last year’s collaboration with Kenzo and previous ones such as Balmain, Isabel Marant, Versace, Anna Della Russo, Marni and many more.

Erdem as a brand exudes a bold yet elegant feminine image as the womenswear collections usually consist of flower patterns, lace and bold patterns. It stands out as a brand for the dreamy and unique floral patterns with a predominance in silk and more structured textiles. This is the first time that Erdem Moralioglu will be presenting a menswear collection and I’m really looking forward to see the translated femininity that he usually takes on in a menswear aspect. The collaboration is going to be available in-stores and online on the 2nd of November and the promotional video produced by the film director Baz Luhrmann was so stunningly shot that I have very high expectations of the entire collection. The designer Erdem Moralioglu is considered to be one of fashion's most romantic designers, whose exquisitely crafted pieces rejoice the power of beauty by exploring historical references seen in the prints selected and personal narratives. ERDEM x H&M will create a full wardrobe of his famously feminine womenswear available and even an accessories line, with a menswear collection debuting for H&M.

A tiny glimpse into the collection is going to make you fall in love with every single piece, from structured dreamy dresses, to floral scarf’s, to leopard print faux-fur and a beautiful grey suit for men as well as a smaller floral print in shirts with sleeve piping.  Indeed it is shaping up to being one of the best collaborations that H&M has done so far. Statement, luxury pieces in affordable prices are worth investing on, so keep an eye for the collection launch a few days prior to November 2nd so you can make up your mind and head straight for the rails. For what I’ve seen online I’ve already spotted a few pieces that will be mine.
